Welcome to Carbrea Vineyard and Winery on Hornby Island; the island’s first and only vineyard. Situated in the Pacific Northwest, you can find Hornby nestled in between Vancouver and Texada Islands, where a micro-climate hovers. With its sun-drenched shores, mile long sandy beaches, laid back atmosphere and now a vineyard, you might feel like you’re visiting in a far-away land. Not so. This is Beautiful British Columbia.
Carbrea has launched fruitfully into the wine world in just a few short years. Our dedication to fine, quality wine has proven successful. Our estate grown Pinot Noir received silver medal at the Northwest Wine Summit with our Wild Blackberry Dessert Wine receiving bronze.
We concentrate on growing cool climate varietals as naturally as possible and are producing small lots of hand-crafted wines. There is much enthusiasm and promise for this industry in this newly designated Gulf Island appellation.
